"Rise Above" is one of my favorite images inspired by a sunrise on the island of Oʻahu. It features a solitary palm tree in black color standing tall against a vibrant pink sky, symbolizing strength and effortless style. It’s as if the palm tree was just posing confidently for the camera.
 
In "Rise Above," the contrast between the dark silhouette of the palm and the soft, glowing sky invites viewers to find their own confidence, embrace their unique beauty, and rise above with grace and strength.
 
First is printed on archival matte paper. From there I apply my illuminated paint, makeup being the main ingredient, which will illuminate the photo and bring it to life.
